The school that was accused of its students bullying the daughter of an actress said that the issue was blown out of proportion.

Colegio San Agustin representatives have addressed the issue of the alleged bullying of Kapuso actress Yasmien Kurdi-Soldevilla's daughter, stating that an incident among minors was blown out in public.

On December 18, Colegio San Agustin (CSA) released a statement and said that there is no bullying involving the daughter of the said actress on December 10, but "rather a situation where students were discussing Christmas party preparations" only.

"The school has addressed the issue with the parents and students involved right away. Because the students involved are minors, Colegio San Agustin said, "The school is handling the matter with caution, circumspection, and confidentiality."

The actress was urged by the school representatives to work with them in order to settle the issue internally and in accordance with the Department of Education's (DepEd) rules. The actress also received a warning from the school.

"As this tends to put them in a bad light, embarrassment, and even ridicule, not only in Colegio San Agustin but in the eyes of the public," the school said, "we also caution Mrs. Soldevilla to refrain from sharing information about the minor students."

"The school is in favor of increasing awareness about bullying, but they are also aware that attracting or pursuing needless public attention does not aid in the development and correction of students or in ultimately resolving their conflicts," they added.

The actress revealed that she will meet with Mr. Sonny Angara, the secretary of the Department of Education, on Thursday to talk about her daughter's alleged bullying. The actress thanked everyone who sent supportive messages to her family on her Instagram story.

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you who have reached out to share your stories about your children being bullied," she wrote.

According to the actress, hearing about kids who are having a hard time in school due to bullying is heartbreaking.

"Mr. Sonny Angara, the secretary of the Department of Education, and I will be meeting this Thursday to talk about possible ways to address bullying in our schools."

The actress stated she would use her position and platform to raise awareness of bullying and fight for change.

"Together, we can raise awareness of this issue and give our children the strength to stand tall," she continued. Let's protect our children and fight bullying."
